Over the summer, many cities across the country began to reinstate or implement new mandates designed to keep consumers safer in public places. Starting in July, Los Angeles, for example, reinstated an indoor mask mandate. In August, New York City began to require people to show proof of vaccination in order to enter restaurants, gyms, and other indoor venues.
How did these type of rules impact the restaurant industry? Foursquare conducted an analysis of foot traffic data to find out.
