About the Position

Foursquare is looking for a Billing Associate to join our team located in or near one of our office hubs - New York City, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco. 

You should be excited to learn about our company’s business model and have a basic understanding of revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and cash collections. This person will be responsible for assisting with billing for Foursquare by working closely with Sales Operations and Client Success to support a robust and growing Sales team. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator and team player with a positive, proactive attitude. In this role, you’ll

  • Process customer billings and verify the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of of invoices
  • Manage billing inbox to address and resolve billing related client inquiries and requests
  • Onboarding new clients and ensuring the resolution of complex billing issues
  • Gain a deep understanding of the sales process from contract inception and planning to billing and collection
  • Establish relationships with key business partners & customers, and liaise directly with customers as one of the main billing contacts for invoicing and collection activities
  • Prepare and submit invoices and revenue adjustments in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure needs are being met in processes and system setup
  • Collaborate with internal teams to investigate discrepancies in campaign invoicing by adjusting invoices and issuing credit memos to expedite client payment 
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, company reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Ensure compliance with internal company policies and procedures
  • Support any ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required
  • Exhibit strong ownership over problem solving and lead the way in solving complicated billing issues
  • Capable of multi-tasking between multiple forms of communication such as Slack, email, Salesforce cases
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers by phone & email
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively & meet deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data manipulation
  • Prior Salesforce.com experience
  • Experience in Netsuite is a plus
  • Industry experience in digital advertising, media and/or entertainment ideal

At Foursquare, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards.  Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

The annual total cash compensation range is $40,000 - $75,000, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location. Salary is just one component of Foursquare’s total compensation package, which includes restricted stock units, multiple health insurance options, and a wide range of benefits!
